Far superior to regular disc brakes or caliper brakes, hydraulic disc brakes provide the best stopping power and are definitely what you should be looking for when investing in a high end traditional bike, or any type of electric bike.
Most in the biking world recognize Shimano as the number one best brake manufacturer in the world, however, Tektro, who produces the hydraulic disc brakes for the Rambo Prowler, make brakes that are almost identical in term of performance, and at a much cheaper price.
This is mainly due to their lack of brand awareness which forces them to sell as a lower price, but rest assured they make extremely high quality brakes which will hold up through any type of incline or decline that you might face on your rides.
